Mixed media layout

Hi friends...I am a sharing a mixed media layout.
For this layout I have taken a cardboard and covered it with cardstock.I added gesso so that I can add few layers.

Then I cut pieces of cardboard and pasted them like bricks in the wall.
Once all pieces are dried ,I added gesso on brick pieces. Using texture paste and stencils created some textures.

All the flowers are made using Mudra gardenia dies.the butterflies and the sentiment are from Mudra stamp set Butterfly and wild rose. All the leaves are die cut from a chocolate box and dies are from Altenew. The lace border is also from Altenew die.

Shadow Box

Hi friends...

Today I am sharing a shadow box.For making this shadow box I recycled a cookie box.I cut the top part and made the compartment inside. For additional strength I added corrugated cardboard on all the sides.I used little birdie chalk paint in teal color to paint it.

I die cut  frames from cardboard  few times and adhere together. All the flowers are handmade. The big roses are made with Mudra Gardenia dies. The sentiments are from Mudra Ganesha stamp set.The sequins and "kindness" & "smile" are Mudra products.

I add few of my son's favorites like car, foot ball and athletics as embellishments. As I want him to be kind always I added the chip zeb saying "Kindness".Sneaker ,foot ball and lady bug are buttons. The car is free gift received with the chocolate.

The chair is made with die cut and tooth picks.

The flower pot is a perfume bottle wrapped with paper twine.

Frozen  character  is a ring which is also a free gift received with the chocolate. The ducks (kichu name given by my little one) are made with pom poms.Added "happy" sentiment as I want  my kid to be happy and smiling always.Keeping her favorites like balloon, fur toys, cartoon in my mind I added these embellishments.

Home Decor

Hi friends..Today I am  sharing a decor piece which I made using cardboard and few wooden pieces.

First I covered the cardboard (6" * 8") piece using card stock and gessoed it.After it dried I applied texture paste using brick stencil and sprinkled some silver glitter dots.I sprayed little birdie lemon zing color splash till I get desired background. Applied Vintage photo DI using brick stencil at few areas to add additional interest.

I made these Quilled pots & cactus with 5 mm maroon and green strips while flowers and leaves using 3 mm strips.

These small triangular wooden pieces are left over from a carpentering work at my friend's place. She has collected these pieces thinking that I will make something with these.I painted these with copper metallic color.

I die cut the corner from the wedding invitation. Finally added glossy accent on the die cut words.
